Wohlert HISTORY
Wohlert Corporation had its roots in the Bates and Edmonds Motor Company founded in 1896 in Lansing, Michigan
On 1917, the company started producing starter ring gears and flywheels.
On 1993, Wohlert Corporation founded Wohlert de Mexico (WDM) as consequence of GM Mexico request to manufacture ring gears, flywheel assemblies and flexplate assemblies.
At the turn of the millenium, Wohlert Corporation was the largest manufacturer of ring gears in North America producing more than 30,000 pieces per day.
By the end of 2003,Wohlert de Mexico was purchased by the LODI Group.
